Serving Kenya With Heart and Purpose

Partnering With Kenyan Communities Through Service and Support

Mission teams in Kenya serve alongside local staff to support children, families, and communities through education, healthcare, outreach, and practical acts of love. Each team comes to strengthen—not replace—the incredible work already happening in Kenya.

Classic Team Itinerary (WITH Optional) SAFARI – safari cost would be added to BASE team cost

Wednesday: Depart home and meet with your teammates while traveling or in Nairobi, Kenya.

Thursday: You should arrive in Nairobi on Thursday before 10 PM. Our drivers will pick you up from the airport and take you to the hotel, where you will spend the night.

Friday: Travel from Nairobi to Migori. You will be greeted and entertained by the children of Brittney’s Home of Grace.

Saturday: You will begin the day with a tour of our compound. After lunch, you will visit the home of one of our orphans to experience real life in Migori.

Sunday: Your team will attend church with our kids and then return to the compound to spend the remainder of the morning enjoying the kids.

Medical Teams will finish the day with orientation and seeing patients in the clinic.

Non-medical teams begin working on projects that are team-specific

Monday: Clinic or Project Work

Tuesday: Clinic or Project Work

Wednesday: Clinic or Project Work

Thursday: Depart Migori early morning and travel for first day of safari, if participating

Friday: Breakfast followed by safari, lunch, afternoon safari, and dinner

Saturday: Depart your safari lodge and travel to Nairobi for late evening departure (after 9 PM)

Sunday: Arrive home

We offer team members the option to stay on campus longer, if they want to serve longer instead of joining a safari. Please ask if you would be interested in doing this.

We recommend planning for a total mission trip cost of $4,000-$5,000

Key Points:

  • All participants must pay the base team cost, deposit, airfare, immunizations, visa, and required tips.
  • Medical professionals pay an additional licensing fee.
  • Safari and related costs are optional and depend on personal choice.
  • Additional spending money for gifts and souvenirs is at your discretion.

You are responsible for paying for your travel arrangements, but we have a travel agent who can work with you. Our goal is to assist you in finding the cheapest and most accommodating flights. Our travel agent will also help arrange your flights so that you can meet up with other team members along the way.

We love that all people are interested in joining our teams; however, we currently believe college-age individuals and above to joining our teams for the first time experience.

We do offer spots for repeat team member children upon prior approval and they must be age appropriate for team activities.

The Base KenyaRelief.org Team Cost includes a one-night stay at a hotel in Nairobi on the night of your arrival, all in-country ground transportation, all meals and lodging in Migori, and transport back to Nairobi after Clinic Day.

Kenya Relief relies primarily on individual donors, and general support is the most powerful way to fuel all of our programs—from healthcare to education to the children’s home. Still, if a particular area speaks to your heart, you’re welcome to designate your gifs.
