An amazing experience. Our team arrived late in evening from Nairobi to Migori. We were greeted by the children who were living in the orphanage home. All were well dressed and full of love and were happy. The caregivers were totally dedicated to the well being of the children. We all stayed in the same compound. It was truly an atmosphere of retreat. Our surgical / medical team faced anther great welcome by large group of patients and staff upon arrival into the Clinic/ hospital across the road at 7:30 the next morning. Our team was the first to do women care and gynecologic surgeries. It was a rewarding work. We were full of emotion and respect, observing the kindness of staff and reciprocation by kind smile of Kenyan patents. Africa is magical. The natives, Tanzanian where I summit Kilimanjaro. Kenyans where we did medical mission, are respectful, welcoming and appreciative and above all happy. For little I did during my mission in Kenya, I received an immense sense of gratification in return. When I returned to Nairobi airport, I even received phone calls from patients as they expressed their appreciation and thanks to all of us for the medical work we have done. We were blessed.
