I feel so blessed to have been part of such a wonderful team who collectively made a difference in the lives of over 2,000 people in just 3 days. Having been involved with Kenya Relief I knew I was in for an emotional journey but did not realize the full effect that it would have on my life. I will never forget this amazing Experience!

The Lord called me into missionary work many years ago. The Lord has allowed me to travel to many different countries and experience many new things as we witness for the Lord. My goal in life is to tell others about Jesus Christ and see their faces as they realize God is real and he really does care about us. This summer I was blessed to be apart of a Kenya Relief Medical Team. The things that touched my heart the most is the people. They have to walk for miles everywhere they go. They walked for miles to get to the clinic and then sat for many hours waiting for their chance to be seen. One man carried his father many miles on his back to get him to our clinic. They had no food or drink, they had to wait for hours not knowing for sure if we would be able to see them or if they would have to come back the next It didn't matter to them they were so happy to have real medical care, to know that they would get real medicine, real love and compassion. In those quick brief moments that they would be with us they would know that there really is a God who cares. God loves them so much that he sent people all the way from the United States to care for them. The children at the orphanage are so happy and loving. They know they are loved and are getting the best care that Kenya Relief can possibly provide them. They are getting an education and career training that will help them be able to provide for themselves and their families when they are grown and leave the orphanage. I was blessed beyond compare to be apart of this team. Steve James is a wonderful man with a great vision and it is my desire to be apart of his vision for the children in the orphanage and of the many many people there that need the love of God. We are the vessels that serves as God's extended hands, wouldn't you like to be apart of something wonderful? Kenya Relief is the place to serve. You not only get a chance to bless others you in turn receive a great blessing. A blessing that will stay with you the rest of your life. if you have a desire to serve others and would love a good safari then you need to call Steve James at Kenya Relief and he can help you get started on the road to a life changing experience.

I love it when you know without a doubt that you are doing with God wants you to do. My trip in Aug with the medical team was my 4th trip to Kenya. I really had not planned on going again, but when Steve sent the email asking for other medical and medical help to go, I had to pause and pray. The lord would not let me let it go and He continued to open doors, my job was to walk through them and trust Him. I always tell people that I am not gifted in any way other than I love the people and God has made it clear to me ways that I can show my for to them. It was my job to greet each and every person who sat in that long line to be treated. I would shake their hands, look them in the eyes and ask most of them their name. I ate my lunch with the Kenyan nurses and tried to let them know how much we appreciated them. We laughed and joked and I am sure they thought I was a funny American. I know anyone can do what I do, and it may not change those I meet, but I know that it changes me. I saw God at work in ways that I had never seen him before on this unplanned trip that happened only because I was listening for his voice and obeyed.

While on a mission trip to Migori, Kenya I fell in love with the most loving, accepting, wise people known as orphans, staff members and missionaries I’ve ever met. My heart is now divided between my blood family and my extended family living living 8,000 miles away! I am on fire with a passion beyond measure for those in need!
Let God call YOU to an experience that permanently changes your life!
